Parent/Child Events
Woodcrest Retreat provides opportunities for parents to set time aside to focus on their relationships with their child/ren) in a relaxed setting away from home. Led by qualified staff, Woodcrest’s Parent/Child Events are designed to create fun and meaningful memories between a parent and child in a Christ-centered outdoor setting. All events include recreation, spiritual teaching, worship and fellowship.
Father/Son Canoe
May 10 -11, 2013
Friday 4 PM – Saturday 8 PM
Ages 10 and up
Cost: $95 per person
Dad, this is a great weekend getaway with your son. Enjoy Friday evening at Woodcrest with a hearty dinner and a good night’s sleep in a bunkhouse. Wake up to breakfast around the campfire and head out for an adventurous day of canoeing on the Schuylkill River. Build great memories as you paddle your canoe together and enjoy lunch along the river bank. Discover the out-of-doors, enjoy God’s creation, and make some unforgettable memories.
This trip includes: transportation, canoes, lodging, 4 meals: Friday supper - Saturday supper, and river devotionals.

Father/Son Campout
June 7-8 2013
Friday evening – Saturday afternoon
Lodging: Bring your R/V, tent, or reserve a shelter.
Food: All food is provided.
Ages: 5 and up
Cost: Adult: $60, Sons: $40 (age 5-15)

This time is for the guys! Build lasting memories camping with your son or grandson. After set up and a delicious meal, Friday evening activities will include a carpet ball tournament, and evening fireside and the enjoyment of popping kettle popcorn. For the early birds on Saturday morning, try your marksmanship at archery and sling shot. Following a hearty breakfast and devotional, enjoy a morning full of exciting group games. A campfire lunch and afternoon rides on the waterslide will make this quality time together priceless.

Father/Daughter Canoe

Cost: $60 per person
Fathers, this is your chance to spend quality time with your daughter and enjoy the great out-of-doors as together you navigate a canoe on the Schuylkill River. Learn and improve your paddling skills, enjoy lunch on the river bank, take a refreshing swim, and enjoy the beauty of God’s creation, all in one exciting and memorable day!
Canoes, transportation, lunch, dinner and river devotions are provided.

Summer Splash
Thursday August 15, 201312:30 – 4:30 PM
Cost: $3.00 Children (ages 5-16) - Adults $5.00
Children and parents are invited to enjoy an end-of-the-summer refreshing splash in the pool. From 2:30 - 4:00 you may use the waterslide or visit critters in the nature shack and animals in the Barnyard. No reservations are needed. Pay upon arrival at the waterslide.
Camp Sampler Open House

Experience Camp in a nutshell
The Camp Sampler Open House gives both parents and children the opportunity to visit and explore the facilities and property of Woodcrest Retreat. It gives families a chance to ask questions and familiarize children with the camp which helps alleviate possible fears they may have of attending camp.
