Parent/Child Events
Woodcrest Retreat provides opportunities for parents to set time aside to focus on their relationships with their child/ren) in a relaxed setting away from home. Led by qualified staff, Woodcrest’s Parent/Child Events are designed to create fun and meaningful memories between a parent and child in a Christ-centered outdoor setting. All events include recreation, spiritual teaching, worship and fellowship.
Father/Son Campout

Friday evening – Saturday afternoon
Ages 5 and up
Cost: Adult: $50, Sons: $30
Strengthen your relationship with your son during this one-night camp experience playing crazy games, zipping down the waterslide, and being challenged by speaker-led fireside and morning devotions. This 22-hour retreat is long enough for great memories, yet short enough as to not disrupt your schedule. Enjoy a delicious Friday evening meal, tasty breakfast and a hotdog roast together. Lodging: Bring your R/V, tent, or reserve a shelter. All food is provided.
Father/Son Canoe Trip

Cost: $135 per person
Strengthen your father/son relationship on this 2 ½ day weekend canoe trip. After spending Friday evening at Black Moshannon State Park, you and your son will paddle the scenic West Branch of the Susquehanna River and set up camp along its bank. Create memories as you learn canoeing skills together, experience God’s creation, and fellowship with other fathers and sons around the crackling campfire. Devotionals led by a leader, transportation, equipment, and meals are provided.

DAD! This is your chance to spend quality time with your daughter on a one-day canoe trip. Enjoy a great day of special memories together. You will have opportunity to learn basic canoeing skills, initiate a refreshing splash, and enjoy lunch on the creek bank all in the midst of God’s creation. Transportation, lunch, and supper are included in this memorable day.
