During the summer months, many volunteers are needed to assist in preparing and serving meals to the summer campers.
Assist in the preparing and serving of meals for up to 240 campers and staff per week. Should enjoy working with a team of people; possess a positive work ethic, and a servant’s heart. Hours vary by day or week as scheduled with Food Service Director.

The Ladies Auxiliary is a group of women who prepare banquet meals for our programmed adult events. These women are also involved in fund-raising activities such as making peanut clusters, etc. All women are invited to become involved.
Summer Weekend Campground Hosts
We rely greatly on weekend hosts to give full-time staff a needed break on the weekends during the summer months. Campground hosts work Saturday and Sunday and must commit to a minimum of 4 weekends during the summer. Duties include greeting guests, operating the waterslide and camp store, cleaning bathrooms and pavilions, and light office duties.
Short-Term Volunteer Couple
For many summers, we have enjoyed having retired couples from states across the U.S. join us for 6-8 weeks of the summer. In addition to serving as weekend campground hosts, volunteers have assisted with registration for summer camp, light maintenance work, office mailings, and weeding flower beds. A R/V camper is available for housing.
Assist in maintaining buildings and grounds under the supervision of the maintenance director. Should enjoy working with hands; possess a positive work ethic, and a servant’s heart. Hours vary by day or week as scheduled with Maintenance Director. Preferably 15 or older.
Volunteer Camp Speaker – Resident Camps
Assist by sharing at evening firesides of 80-100 campers and staff. Works closely with Program Director concerning teaching focus. Desires to be a support to counselors in helping campers to begin or strengthen and grow in their relationships with God through Jesus Christ. Mon.-Fri. evenings.
Volunteer Bible Teacher – Day Camps
Individual desires to serve the Lord through teaching God’s word. Share at morning Bible classes each day, Mon-Fri. Each class includes approx. 25-35 campers and staff. Works closely with Program Director concerning teaching focus. Desires to be a support to counselors in helping campers to begin or strengthen their relationships with God through Jesus Christ.

Youth Service Projects
Woodcrest would love to have your youth group participate in a service project in the spring or fall. We rely on the help of volunteers to keep our grounds and buildings prepared for ministry. Work may include:
- Mulching, painting, splitting/stacking firewood, spreading wood chips, washing windows, etc.
There are several options available:
- One Day Service Project: Serve on a Saturday: half day or full day.
- Weekend Retreat and Service Project: Schedule 2 nights lodging and receive one night free. Arrive Friday evening and serve a minimum of 6 hours on Saturday. The remainder of the weekend is yours to plan for fun, games, worship and hang-out time. (Minimum of 8 youth) Note: Groups will need to bring food, towels and bedding.
