Meet the Summer Staff Team!

Woodcrest Retreat is a non-profit, Christian organization located in Ephrata, PA. Our summer staff is committed to bringing excellent day and overnight camp programs to our community. Our vision is to see lives impacted for Christ and we feel privileged to be able to do that through our work.

Note: Below is the 2022 team, they rocked it last summer. 2023 team will be updated at the beginning of the summer, as familiar faces return and new faces join!

Summer Leadership Team:

Adam Fox - Program Director

Adam Fox – Program Director

I started working at Woodcrest in the summer of 2014 and moved into the full-time position of Summer Camp Director in 2017. In the summer you will find me in colorful bandanas and silly socks. I’m Lancaster county born and raised. I love the ministry at Woodcrest and I’m inspired by the community that exists to support what we do here. My passion is to disciple summer staff as they develop deep faith that results in unconditional love for the campers we serve. I attend Hinkletown Mennonite Church in Ephrata. My favorite verse is John 10:10(b) “But I have come to give life, and life to the full.” I am married to my amazing wife Tasha, who is also no stranger to camp life, previously serving on summer staff for 5 years.

Micah Martin - Assistant Program Director

Micah Martin – Assistant Program Director

First as a camper, then as a summer staff member, and now as a member of the full-time staff, Woodcrest has always been a special place to me. After serving on summer staff over all but one of the summers since 2014, I began a new role here in August of 2021. As Assistant Program Director, I’m happy to assist you with program registration, School of Wonder teaching, and helping to ensure that all of our programs run smoothly. I believe in Woodcrest’s mission of bringing the Kingdom of God to earth both in our little corner of Ephrata and to the ends of the earth. A favorite verse of mine is 1 Timothy 4:12, “Don’t let anyone look down on you because you are young, but set an example for the believers in speech, in life, in love, in faith, and in purity.” My prayer for Woodcrest is that it would always remain a place for young people to encounter God and grow in their faith, being given opportunities to serve and being equipped to bring the Kingdom of God wherever they go.

I graduated in 2021 from Gordon College with a BS in Mathematics and Economics. I currently reside in Ephrata with my beautiful wife Brianna, who I met while working at Woodcrest in 2017.

This is my first year serving at Woodcrest camp and I am very excited to be your child’s camp counselor! I am passionate about being the hands and feet of Jesus to children and teaching them about God’s amazing plan for redemption! You can pray that God will give me wisdom and strength as I embrace this new adventure and be Jesus to everyone I come in contact with. Thank you!

Will Hillard – Counselor

Hi! My name is Will and I will be your child’s counselor for the week. A little about me: I’m currently studying youth and young adult ministry at Lancaster Bible College. I will be a senior in the fall. I started working at camp in 2021 and have loved every moment of it. Being with kids is my passion and I hope that one day to be in a program director position at a camp. I hope that I can help your kid to have a great week and can’t wait to get to know your child!
