Overnight Camp

Thank you for a great 2019 Camp Season. Registration for the 2020 season opens February 1st.

Action and adventure, wonder and intrigue! Allow your camper to grow in relationship with God and others through overnight camp as they enjoy raucous games and make new friends, all in a safe and caring environment. Overnight camps at Woodcrest Retreat offer a unique experience for ages 7 – 15.

2020 Camp Theme: True North- the Search for Truth

Oh no! Someone kidnapped our camp mascot Todd the Turtle! As we work to solve this whodunnit mystery, we’ll begin an even bigger search: the search for Truth. In a world where truth is hard to find, we’ll find that God’s Word remains our compass to true life. Campers will be encouraged in their walk with God throughout the week in bunkhouse group Bible studies, meaningful worship, and evening chapel speaker. Camp is the perfect place to grow in relationship with God and others through dynamic activities that will allow your child to flourish.

Daily Activities:

Campers will experience a diverse set of activities that broaden horizons and build lasting memories, including creative crafts, waterslide, swimming, group games and sports, night activities, and interaction with God’s creation. Additional activities vary between camps.

Unique main events to this year for all week-long camps:

Daily Living:

The camp encounter allows kids to unplug from “normal” life surrounded by the grandeur of God’s creation. Campers sleep in bunkhouses without electricity and cook breakfast and some dinners over a campfire. Lunch is served in the dining hall. Camp is about relationships, so we ensure that our staff have been carefully selected to represent quality Christian character, have obtained all necessary background checks, and are mandated reporter and CPR certified.

“My grandson was at your camp last week as an overnight camper. Usually he is not a big talker but my oh my when I asked him about his experience at camp he said it was AWESOME. He then went on and on telling me about all the fun things he experienced. He liked his counselor a lot and the speaker too. The night time and after dark games, etc. were just perfect for his “12 year old” boyishness. I know how exhausting it can be to function as a camp worker ( done that, been there ) but I wanted you to know that you are impacting the future church in a big way.” -Parent Comment
