You are invited to be a part of the incredible life changes that occur at camp by supporting Woodcrest financially.
What a difference 2021 was from the previous year. In many ways, Woodcrest experienced our biggest year ever. We served 350 more campers. We served more campground users, church groups, and special events for families and businesses.
Our theme for 2021 was Extraordinary God and we witnessed God doing extraordinary things. We have amazing stories of campers who encountered God in real ways this past summer. We heard from parents sharing the impact that Woodcrest had in their child’s life. We have received thank you notes from churches who used our pavilions and campground to host events where God showed up in did remarkable things that only God can do.
Our theme verse for 2022 comes from Psalm 32:8. The psalm is one of praise where David is thanking God for the forgiveness of sin and His providential hand. In verse eight, he shares a promises from God: The Lord says, “I will guide you along the best pathway for your life. I will advise you and watch over you.”
The phrase that inspires us is how God will guide us in the best pathway for our life. It is easy to look around and be discouraged or even jealous at how other ministries are thriving and what they are doing. But we need to stand firm that God is leading Woodcrest along the best pathway for us. We are Woodcrest and as we look ahead to what is next, we want to always remain Woodcrest.
Woodcrest made the decision to not raise camper fees to keep up with the anticipated inflation rate. We never want finances to be a factor that keeps children from experiencing the power of camp. To cover expenses that we do not include in our summer fees, Woodcrest needs to raise $85,000. Our Golf Tournament and Archery Shoot are two events that go toward that goal, but we are still dependent on the gracious donations of friends and champions to help us toward that goal.
Your financial support will help us to keep moving forward with many projects and keeping camp affordable while covering expenses for the camp..
If you would like to talk to someone about becoming a monthly partner in our ministry or have questions before you donate, we invite you to contact our Executive Director, Bill Klees (717-738-2233) or by email (Bill@WoodcrestRetreat.org).
