The Youth Leader Breakfast is a time for Lancaster’s youth pastors and workers to gather, connect, and learn from each other. This morning is geared specifically for the challenges that youth leaders in our area are facing in our community. Breakfast will be served at 8am followed by teaching from Mike Wenger. We will end our time with a roundtable discussion with youth leaders in your area. Come for this day of encouragement, food, and fellowship.
Mike Wenger will be speaking on the following topic:
It’s no secret that many today are struggling with anxiety, depression, anger, identity confusion, and crowd pressure like never before. How can youth ministers come alongside these youth and help find the hope they so desperately need? Join Mike Wenger, marriage and family therapist, as he unpacks the deeper wounds and attachment needs of our youth. Learn how to not just focus on the symptom like pornography and drug use but also see the underlying reasons as to why the symptom became necessary in the first place. Empower your youth to go beyond just behavioral management to finding victory and freedom through knowledge of who God created them to be. Then they can stop medicating with worldly placebos and instead receive secure attachment in Jesus Christ.
