Escape The Trail
The Story
It has been a rough week and you have been looking forward to getting out in the woods to go on a long hike. The day is beautiful. You pack your water and drive to a place a friend recommended for being isolated and quiet. In your rush to get on the trail, you fail to pick up a trail map. You anxiously head into the dense woods.
Your friend was right. During your first hour of hiking you do not see anyone. You notice that you have also lost cellphone reception. However, it is just what you needed. Walking further into the cool woods you begin to feel the stress of the week being replaced with the peace and presence of God but that changes suddenly. You realize that you have allowed your mind to drift as you walked. Now you notice that you are no longer on the trail. In fact, you have no idea where you are. How long have you been wandering? When did you leave the trail?
As you are gazing around the area trying to recognize something familiar that might get you back on the trail, you hear the sounds of a little boy. Looking between the trees you see a child playing in a clearing not too far away. Hoping that he might be able to give you some directions, you call out to him. Upon hearing your voice, he runs deeper into the woods. Behind where the boy was playing, you see a sign and you go to investigate. Without some type of assistance you have little chance of finding your way back to your car and escaping the trail before night fall.
Follow the trail through seven stations each with a different puzzle to solve. Collect letter clues to help you know what trail to take to escape the trail.
