Lodging


Woodcrest Retreat offers a perfect location for your church, small group, youth group, or family to host an affordable weekend retreat in a peaceful outdoor setting. Year-round lodging is available for small groups of 2-30 (with summer lodging for an additional 80 in our bunkhouses). Four bunk-style housing facilities each between 6-12 guests (see descriptions below). A modern shower house is within a short walking distance of facilities that do not provide restrooms.

Groups using two or more lodging facilities need to add a central meeting room (special pricing available). The Conestoga Room or Mountain View are ideal for retreat groups to use for meeting space and meal preparation.

Guests need to provide their own linens, towels, food, cookware, and place settings. Guests may prepare meals using the provided kitchen facilities or schedule a caterer of their choice.

A picnic table and fire ring are provided at each lodging facility.

Dorm-Style Lodging (Available year-round)

Dorm-style lodging is available for up to 40 guests in four separate facilities.


Rock Haven

Rock Haven is a fully furnished facility that can sleep up to 12, using three bedrooms and two living rooms. One bedroom sleeps 4 in single-bed bunks. The second sleeps 2 in a single-bed bunk. The third bedroom has a double bed with a single-bed bunk on top to sleep 3. A second sitting area has two futons which provide sleeping for an additional four persons. Guests will need to provide their own linens, towels, food, and place settings. Rock Haven provides a full bath and a full kitchen with basic cooking supplies and utensils (it does not include place settings and silverware). There is a residential refrigerator, stove/oven, microwave, toaster, and coffee maker.

A front porch and backyard deck offer quiet spots for relaxation and comes with picnic tables and a fire ring with room for family games and activities. This facility is great for an individual family, youth groups, Sunday School classes, and small groups.

Meadowlark Cabin

Our newest Lancaster Log Cabin offers a peaceful retreat for 7-9 people. Great for families or a small group gathering, Meadowlark contains two full baths with a kitchenette (dorm-sized refrigerator, sink, coffee maker, and microwave). Standard set up includes 3 sets of bunkbeds and a futon. A small folding table with chairs is also available. A spacious porch is great for relaxing and includes a picnic table. A firepit is located just off the porch with room for chairs. Guests must provide their own linens, towels, place settings, cooking ware, and food.

Pictures and floor plan coming soon. Meadowlark can be combined with other lodging for accommodate a retreat for around 30 people.

 

Rustic Cabins

Two rustic and cozy cabins are available year-round for individual families, small youth groups or larger groups when used in combination with additional lodging. Modern showers and restroom facilities are located nearby in Mountain View. Guests must provide their own linens, towels, place settings, cooking ware, and food. Picnic tables and fire rings are provided.

Flicker Cabin:
Flicker Cabin includes a kitchen/sitting area and 2 bedrooms. One bedroom sleeps four in single bunks and the other sleeps four in one double bed bunk for a total of 6-8. A futon is available for two additional guests. The kitchen has a gas oven/stove top, refrigerator, microwave, coffee maker, and cold running water*. Furnishings include a kitchen table and chairs, couch, and cushioned chair. A woodstove is an added feature for this cabin.

Wren Cabin:
The Wren Cabin (sleeps 6-10) consists of one large room which includes a kitchenette/sitting area and a sleeping area. There are three single bunks and one double bunk. A futon is available for two additional guests. The kitchenette has a two burner gas hot plate, microwave, refrigerator, cold running water.* Furnishings include a kitchen table and chairs.

* Cabin Winter Use:
November through March, tap water is not available in the cabins. Water containers are provided to refill as necessary from Mountain View.

 

Camping Cabin — Whippoorwill

Whippoorwill has been a beautiful addition to Woodcrest. It offers a great camping experience for those who don’t have a tent or RV.  This family-sized cabin contains two rooms and sleeps six (two bunks in a back room and a double bed in the front). There is a kitchenette (refrigerator, sink, microwave and coffee maker) and a full bath. Located in our lower campground, you are near to everything with your own campfire pit and benches.  It is the perfect getaway experience for a couple or a family. Guests must provide their own linen, towels, cookware, place settings, and food.

 

Poplar View/Bunkhouse Area


Poplar View Bunkhouses: These are perfect for those looking for rustic, economical accommodations. Used in conjunction with the Poplar View Pavilion, the bunkhouses are an ideal setting for youth retreats or groups young-at-heart. Eight Adirondack-style bunkhouses are nestled in the woods near the Poplar View Pavilion. Each sleeps 10 in single bed bunks for a total of up to 80 guests. Picnic tables and a fire ring are provided at each bunkhouse. Four bunkhouses are located in two separate areas and are accessible by a short hike down the trail. A bathroom facility is located between the two areas and is available May-October. Showers are available a short distance away in Mountain View. Bunkhouses do not have electricity.

Poplar View Pavilion: This spacious (40×80) outdoor pavilion has retractable sides and a small kitchen for preparing and serving meals. There are picnic tables for seating up to 100. A stage is located on one end and a stone fireplace on the other. It is great for meetings, hang out time and indoor games. A ball field, basketball court, gaga pit and a circle swing are next to Poplar View. A large campfire area is also located nearby with plenty of parking.
