Youth Weekend Retreats

Woodcrest Retreat is the place for you to design an INEXPENSIVE, fun week-end for your youth group. Guests are asked to provide their own linens and to provide their own meals.

Option #1:
Poplar View/Shelter Area (Available the months of May-October)

Lodging choices: Two cabins , 10 rustic Adirondack-style shelters.

Meeting place: Poplar View Pavilion: The Poplar View Pavilion in an outdoor pavilion with retractable sides. It can accommodate up to 100 people seated around picnic tables. It has a small kitchen, stage area, and a large (40x80) multi-purpose space which is ideal for meetings, hang-out time, and indoor games. A fireplace is available for use. The Circle Swing and Gaga Court next to the pavilion is a popular spot for youth to hang out.

Option #2:
Indian Rock Center Area (Available fall/winter/spring )

Lodging choices: Two cabins, Rock Haven

Meeting Place: Indian Rock Center: IRC is a heated all-purpose building with a commercial kitchen. IRC serves as a dining hall and provides meeting space.



Group Weekend Retreats

Many church retreats and family reunions are held during the summer months in our family campground area. Rock Haven and 2 cabins are also available. Meeting room space is available in the Indian Rock Center. All meals are on your own.

Group Activity Options:
For additional fees and with advanced reservations, your group can have access to our Challenge Course, Tree Climb, and Flying Squirrel. Other recreation choices are available.

Outdoor Chapel: Located in the seclusion of the forest behind the waterslide, the Outdoor Chapel can seat up to 100 people on rustic wooden benches (amphitheater style). A platform in the front with a large wooden cross creates the perfect setting for an outdoor worship service. A fire ring to the side allows for a large bonfire.

IRC Bonfire Circle: Located near IRC, this small fire ring area allows for 20-25 people to assemble their lawn chairs for a time of fellowship or a marshmallow roast.

Vesper Area: Located in the woods close to Cedar Lane Pavilion, this small bonfire area can be reached by taking a short hike back the trail. Rustic benches (20-25 people)assembled in a circle surround the fire ring.

Service Project Weekends

Woodcrest welcomes groups to participate in service projects around the camp.
